“UUGGHH! is like a modern day ‘Ugly Duckling’. It’s all about a slug who never feels beautiful. Of course the slug ends the book on a happier note with the help of a spider and a scary hedgehog.
Claudia illustrates like a print maker. All the images have that imperfect offset detail, the typography is a mixture of letter pressed and handwritten that all together just create a visual treat.
The story explains that beauty in the eye of the beholder and you certainly find it in this book. It’s beautiful.”
